Mystery tree

Can anyone help me to identify this tree please? It has been growing in our garden for many years now and we have always wondered what it is. It would be wonderful if someone could put a name to it. Thank you.

Can we have a look at the tree, bark and the shape of it. Also how the leaves are arranged on the branches, Does it flower? If so what do they look like

I think lime leaves are heart shaped with a smooth edge.

Maybe it is lime, it does have serrated edges.

Not beech, I don't think. I tend towards lime, but that should be pretty obvious from the flowers. Could you describe the flowers and fruit?
