suggestions for trees/shrubs

Help please I have a border at the side of our driveway its approx 4feet wide by 18ft long.  at the moment it has five conifers that have been clipped in square box shapes. They do not look very healthy and I am looking to remove them and plant something different. I wondered if anyone had suggestions for a small tree with a maximum height of approx six feet "lollypop" style.. ???

    Six feet is not tall enough for a tree - some standard roses might look nice, or standard wisterias?  Or even a row of pleached wisteria image
