Using your Bottle!
Each autumn when I get the greenhouse ready for winter. After 'bubble-wrapping', I fill empty 2 ltr drinks bottles with water from the butt and use them to line the greenhouse. They act like a water heat exchange. I've only had to light

the heater once so far this year!
Come this time of year I use the water to get the plants started, refilling from the butt as necessary. Now it's time to plant up seeds, I cut the bottles in half and use them as mini cloches. The tops are already open-ended but my helpful husband drills the 'bottom' end so nothing gets wasted! Later in the year the two halves and the bottle tops go into the plastics recycling bin and we start the process again in the autumn!

Rosy2.........I use my plastic bottles for mini cloches too.......especially if you retain the screw top and then can regulate the air.
Never thought about the heat exchanger tho...........good idea
