Composting Seed Heads

Is it OK to add flower and grass stems with seed heads to the compost heap?

I don't put pernicious weeds in the compost bin, but I do put seed heads from my perennials and annuals in.
Most  seedheads from desirable plants are 'done' anyway here by the time I cut them back, because they tend to rot on the plants due to our weather. It's quite difficult to save seed because of that. In drier areas, it's easier.
I don't really have grass seed heads though. The grass is cut often enough so it doesn't happen. If you mean ornamental grasses, I put those in the compost bin.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
