Beetroot seedlings

I picked up this little tray of beetroot seedlings at the garden centre - is each seedling a potential beetroot? Just trying to work out spacing, and there are quite a few there. 

Also can I plant these straight out or should I grow on first in individual pots?

    Yes,each one is beetroot, they are hardy. I have the same problem,buy you can keep s few in a bunch,for baby salad leaves.plant them outside, wherever you are growing them

    Be careful not to damage the roots when transplanting?

    Thank you - will aim to get planted out today. I did wonder about root disturbance as they are so closely planted together.

    Treat each cell as a single plant even though there are several in each cell. Separating them will only cause root damage. They will be fine.
