Want to wildflower my lawn- any advice on how to and the best bulk buy seeds please
I've only bought bulbs from them so can't comment on the wildflower mixtures.
One way to convert is to use plug plants rather than seeding the area. You can buy plug plants of many wild flowers and add them to your existing lawn where they may self seed if they are happy. Or you can grow your own plug plants.
Our lawn has become by itself a wildflower green space.
We don't mow it as regular as others and we have a multitude of wonderful flowers for the insects to enjoy.
Bugle, daisy, clovers, birds foot trefoil, dandelions, primroses, cowslips and more.
We tried sowing seeds in our orchard following all the instructions and no success so we now enjoy our "lawn".
