Insects in the garden

Can anyone tell me what these insects are and are they a problem or beneficial, they have only recently appeared, thanks.

They're Shieldbugs ... no idea which sort but @wildedges might know ... in the UK Shieldbugs do little or no damage in the garden, they're fascinating creatures and we love them.

I know they're not shieldbugs

They look like dock bugs to me, more based on the look of that nymph rather than the adults though.

Shield bugs - there's lots of different types. Some are very colourful. they are sap suckers but do little damage.
