Hello , for the last 2 years we have put sprout seeds in and they have germinated , get about to about 1/2 inch then die , wondered if anybody has any idea why ?
Does anybody have success in growing from seed ?

    Are you sowing into ground or starting in pots?  If seedlings aren't surviving then it could be too much or too little water, or too much sun, or even dampening off.  

    I germinated about 20 sproutlings this year in the greenhouse, chose 8 of the strongest and planted them into the ground when they got to about 6 inches in growth.  I lost two and the remaining 6 are growing well.

    Foxwales , in pots in a g/h , everything else has been fine , just the sprouts !

    Frankly, with most brassicas I've given up planting seed in favour of a stall in our weekly market (non-Covid-19 times of course) who produces fine strong plants very cheaply and ready to put into my soil.
