Marrowfat peas

I am contemplating growing some Blauwschokker to dry.
Does anyone know from personal experience, can you pick them then dry them to encourage more growth, or is it a case of letting therm ripen/dry on the haulm.

    I grew them last year, and by the time the first ones are ready to dry the plants are pretty much dying. BUT don't wait until they are all dry or the oldest ones will have shattered and you lose half the crop... that happened to me.

    Yes, the trick is picking the pods individually after they turn brown but before they burst open and release the peas.  Don't pick the pods while still green and try to dry them off somewhere else though, as that won't work.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
