Hard Pruning Roses in February 2020 - when?
I'm still waiting for the period 'after the frosts' before hard pruning my roses; but we haven't had any frost here in Norfolk (20 miles from the coast) for weeks, just rain, rain. New growth is shooting; one rose is still flowering; and I found greenfly feeding on the new tips of a climber which is trained up a south facing trellis.
Shall I 'go for it'? If I do, I risk a change in the weather pattern - we had snow here in March 2018 - that might frost damage the shortened stems.
what would you do?
