Horsetail help

So I've seen these growing at various points in the garden 

I've since been told by the neighbor's that its horsetail and can be difficult to treat 

I'm now worried of damaging the garden early 

What can I do?

    It is difficult to treat if treatable at all , you will never dig it out so chemical is the only way as for as I am concerned, some say bruise it and spray it with weedkiller , they is something what is specially for horsetail the name slips my mind ??? even that though is not guaranteed to kill it off. Its easier to move house than get rid of this dam weed , I'll take japansese knotweed over maretail any day.

    There is a thing called Kurtail. It costs around £40 and I have used it for several years. This year, it is back worse than ever. As an old gardener once said to me " move" or another poster on here said " treat it like any other weed". It is a nightmare.

    Someone on TV said the only way is to get a hypodermic and inject into each stem with very strong weed killer, hardly watered down. 
    I’ve never had it so never tried the cure, but he seemed to think that was the only way.

    My mum has had it for 60 years. I spent a couple of hours pulling it out on Monday. I sent a bin full to the council. Anyone buying compost with recycled waste in, be afraid, be very afraid.

    It even comes up through the tarmac.

    I've seen the kurtail online I will have to buy that and try 

    I use galup 360 for all my other weeds that pop up and that kills them all no problem but apparently that's no good 

    I will see if there are any specialists and seek some advice

    Just watched a video recommending and showing results from wd40 .. I have some in the garage so I've just sprayed a load on the horsetail shoots and stem. Nothing to lose

    Have attempted to rid gardens of this several times to no avail .
    Pre-dating flowers and birds , and with a common ancestry traceable to the Carboniferous Period (approx.300m years ago) , you can almost admire its tenacity .
    It will definitely see us out , despite our paltry efforts to eradicate it !

    So looks like it's just a case of regular maintenance and keeping on top of it
