A special potted tree for Noodle’s ashes

Hi
first time I’ve asked a question. Unfortunately a few days ago we had to put one of our beautiful pet cats, Noodle, to sleep after 13 years. He is being cremated and when we get his ashes back we wouldn’t like to not simply scatter his ashes in the garden as the garden is very much a work in progress and needs a large outbuilding demolishing etc, but place his ashes in a substantial potted tree or plant. Something we can take with us if we ever move house. It would be nice to have something which flowers in May so we can remember him at the time of year he passed away. Any ideas for a beautiful tree which can be Noodle’s tree? Miss him terribly and trying to think of something special for him. Many thanks, Kat.

So sorry you lost your dear noodle, its a lovely idea to remember him that way. Sorry, can’t think of anything portable, except maybe one of the smaller wisterias trained as a short standard, but the pot would have to be fairly substantial. I’m sure others will have better ideas.

When I read your post I remembered an old thread on a similar query ... I’ve managed to find it and hope that it may be of help
