Is it necessary to to pot up divided perennials before replanting them or can I put them in beds straight away please?

If they are large enough, they can go straight back into the garden, that is what I aim to do.
Walk out to winter, swear I'll be there.

No need to pot up. Just divide, replant where you want them and water well.

I water the plant really well the night before I want to divide it, makes it easier to dig up and split .
