Storing New Strawberry Plants ?

An elderly friend wants to leave some new plants she has just received through the post with me for a week as she is going away
? Any tips friends...........in water ...outside....in the warm     HELP

    How have they been delivered to her?  Are they the dormant chilled ones not potted in anything?  If so I'd wrap them in damp newspaper and pop them in the salad drawer of your fridge.

    I am meeting her at @ 1.00pm today so I will ask her and probably end up bringing them home as she is off in the morning

    They don't need anything special NewBoy - but if you're concerned, keep them damp somewhere protected outdoors, assuming they've not been cossetted somewhere.
    If you have a cold frame or similar, that would do. 
    If she wants ot grow them on, you could offer to pot them up and keep them the same way. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    She is off to see her disabled brother Up North  for a week so was worrying so I planted them for her and told her I would look after them

    I only charged her £20.00 as that was a fair price.......................just joking o:) .

    Its nice to help and it makes us feel good and thanks for the advice ladies
