I thought it might be handy if we use this thread to note any Apple Days that we're aware of in the coming month or so ...

There's an Apple Day in Norfolk at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum of Norfolk Life
You can take your mystery apples along for an ID.

Baslow Community Orchard, in the Derbyshire Dales, is having an apple fest on the afternoon of October the sixth. Not a huge village, just follow the sign pointing to Over End. Their orchard and the road leading to it, Over End, are both planted up with varieties specific to Derbyshire, Yorks, Lancs, Cumbria.

Apple expert on hand, apple pressing for you to turn your own fruit into juice, (Ambrosia for twenty minutes, excellent bought apple juice for the following forty minutes, polished off and just a delicious memory thereafter), apple games, WI stall with home made cakes etc, local musicians playing and singing appley songs.

A visit to the town is always rewarding as it is a feast of Georgian architecture and stone buildings.
