  Yes, I saw that article. Companies are asking for formal government documents stating the legislation in regard to this plant. I can find lots of references in other literature but not on formal govt sites.
  

  
  

  Can anyone clarify if Elodea crispa (water hyacinth) is the same/been renamed as Eichhornia crassipes? I'm not great at tracking these kind of changes. This directive lists
  Eichhornia crassipes (water hyacinth) as invasive.

  ^ this one has Eichhornia as water hyacinth, and a different Elodea listed.

  It says Rhoddies, cotoneaster, gunnera, rosa rugosa, etc are 'covered by UK legislation', but it doesn't seem to say which legislation or how they are covered. Or I can't see it on the page. It doesn't say outright on that page that they are banned, just listed....
