Mini black beetle invasion

Has anyone else been invaded by these tiny black bugs which have moved into my garden with a vengeance. They are particularly fond of my peonies, roses, sweet peas and cosmos, and I don’t feel like cutting these flowers anymore because the little creatures drop out everywhere. They then play dead, but they aren’t.  What are they, and is there anything organic that I could use to chase them away? 😒

This topic has already been discussed today happycottontail. You probably missed it because you didn't realise that these are pollen beetles. Check out the POLLEN BEETLE thread posted earlier.

A vivid memory from my childhood in the countryside is of pollen beetles on everything ... particularly on anything yellow.

Perfectly harmless little beetles ... food for the birds and pollinators of our plants ... as Madpenguin said ...  they're Good Guys!
