Roses loosing scent/ recommended for dry semi shade

Sorry for the two parter

Hi all of my roses seem to have lost their scent. All have bloomed well and had great perfume but seem to have lost their scent. They are all in modified loam/clay/manure soil and have been fed with DA rose feed and then tomato feed at recommended intervals. All of these roses get full sun. Even Gertrude gekyl has lost her scent. I'm watering new roses twice weekly and well established roses 5 litres twice monthly...any help would be appreciated. .

Part 2 I would like any recommendations for a rose to grow in very dry semi shade. Thr soil is so dry as it is within 15 feet of a large sycamore tree. The site gets 4 hours sun in the am and 2 hours in the afternoon.I'm looking for a bush type...scent is not so important but repeat flowering would be. I will be moving two harlow carr roses near the site. But would like something to contrast them. I've looked at DA site but would like actual gardners recommendations for a trick spot.

When you say 'lost their scent' do you mean just this year or over many years?

Part two - I'm not sure roses would be suited to the spot you describe. Perhaps try something else. Just my personal take.

I had that last year. Even my strongest scented roses lost every fragrance. It's all back this year. I have no idea why it happens. Maybe water levels?
