ive grown several different hardy annuals & they're looking nice & healthy & quite tall in my cold frame at the moment. Should I leave them there over winter or plant out?
when you say grown do you mean sown recently or sowed in spring?
as if you sowed them in spring they're still annuals and will only last one year even if they are hardy? If they've been sown recently I would get them out where they need to be now so they can get established for next year.
They were sown end August so put them out now?
Early to be sowing annuals John. I presume they're for next year?
You're going to have to carry on protecting them to keep them happy till you can plant out next spring, but they'll tend to get very leggy, so you'll need to keep pinching out to prevent that.
Which annuals have you sown?
Yes for next year- Amni & sweet William looking really quite big & healthy
also sowed nigella, cornflowers a few weeks ago which are all doing nicely. Trying to get a head start as growing for son's wedding in June.
so not sure what to do with them now
