We too have these little beasts...had them last summer too. They are black, shaped like a flea but about twice the size or a bit more. They appear to reside informing rose buds and eat usually round holes about 2mm wide in the newly forming petals. I have tried rigor, comfidore and mamcozeb (spelling?) but they persist. I am trying comfidore pills around the roots now but it is too early to see results. They seem to attack white and pale pink buds. I would love to hear your thoughts And ideas.
