I am new to gardening and have had some lovely Osteospermum plants this year ( bought i might add). They are looking a bit sorry for themselves now. Can I just cut these back and put in a greenhouse over the winter? Will they survive?
Mine in Devon live outside all year round.
Depends on which type they are l think, the perennial ones or those used for bedding/pots in the summer. You could hedge your bets by taking cuttings, l find both types root easily.

I used to overwinter in the GH, this year I couldn't be bothered and threw all cautions to the wind and treated myself to a little pack of tiny plugs, they were cheap I got 33 cost £4.00 in Wyvale, all I did was pot them on, lovely plants.
