Could someone please tell me when I can move the above plant? Thank you.
Anytime, in my experience. It survives everything you can throw at it
Follow the usual procedure though - water before digging up, prep the planting hole well, and water in thoroughly once planted.
My experience, at the other end of the country from fairygirl (indeed, in London!), is the same. I rip bits off and replant them elsewhere at any time of the year. I'm sure it would enjoy being looked after better, but it's very forgiving.
It grows in any conditions too LG. I had it on a wet bank at the edge of part of the grass at my last house, wedged in between the bank and an annexe wall. If it ever saw daylight, it would have been for an hour now and again in summer!
I have some just now in the shade between a fence and my shed. It gets virtually no sunlight, and is wet most of the time, but there's also some at the front of the house, near the gate, where it gets quite a lot of sun and thrives on neglect.
Thank you both very much. I am in North Wales so it looks as if doesn't make much difference where you live. It's tomorrows job - if the rain holds off.
