How can I disguise the 1970's ornamental breeze blocks Inserted near the top of a brick wall. They were 'trendy' in the 70's but they're so dated now. I really do not like them. Ideas please. Thank you.
If you mean the concrete blocks with openings ( there is a better way to describe them I'm sure ), why not block the back off and grow things such as Sempervivum or Echivera ( latter not always hardy ). Both will enjoy the horizontal aspect if sunny enough.
There are other bits and pieces which grow happily in cracks/crevices depending on aspect.
thank u very much Phillippa. I very much appreciate your help. This is what I am doing at present with Trachlospermum Jasminoidese (not sure of spelling !). It's not ideal as the wall is at the end of the garden and faces the road outside the house. (House is back to front - road at back). Thanks anyway. Pat
