Friday nights

Just got in after a long week. Immediate thought was "ooooh it's Friday night which means Gardener's World"..... and then I remember it's not image.

Surely they could still make a programme for the winter months. I loved it when Carol made the series about seasons in her garden, which included winter!

Even if it was chat about plants in general and planning for next year.

i just miss it and I'm sure I can't be alone.

    A lovely chap.

Carol's series is being repeated early on Sunday mornings on BBC2.  I have it recorded.

Would love to see Geoff H's series again or even How to be a Gardener from AT.

Well I did have some recorded, but the Tivo box broke on Tuesday, so I've lost the lot. The new box has exactly nothing on it.image

  • No you're not alone - we miss it too. We asked for some winter gardening programmes covering such things as making ponds, building walls/patios, fences etc. but never had any response from the team. Oh well we will have to snuggle up with Pudsey instead tonight although it is not the same without Terry is it?

I have never seen any of Geoff H's stuff. Would there be anywhere to view it online?

  • Hi jaffacakes, yes, go on youtube  and just put in Geoff Hamilton's name. I've watched quite a few.

Hello , watching BBC pudsey on TV image

  • Yes, that's right aym - although I am sure we are not alone in wanting to know how to make a successful pond - advice and tips, paths, patios, fences, walls - most gardens have at least one of these and it is good to the advice of experts so you don't make too many expensive mistakes. They could do Christmas gardening too - wreaths, garlands, nurturing Christmas trees, growing mistletoe in apple trees etc. rather than closing down for the winter.
