I went on that tour about a million years ago ( over 30 anyway ) Fairy. Thought it seemed familiar.

  • I found this potted tutorial about lenses very useful and thought some of you may too:

Gorgeous sunset (the sky seemed to be on fire)  following a very hot day in July 2014.

Lovely David. I took a look at your link re the lenses. very informative, although I suppose it's not applicable for the camera I currently have. I often look at the selection of photos people submit each week on the BBC Scotland news site, and I found a link or two I looked at. One was to a landscape photographer called Charlie Waite - stunning photos!

  • Quite right, Fg.....it's mainly for DSLR camera lenses, although some of the info is relevant to your camera.

I do believe that our camera club is trying to engage the services of Charlie Waite to give a talk.......as you already know an outstanding photographer.

The pix I saw were magnificent David. So were the price tags!  image

I know there's a general feeling that photos shouldn't be as expensive as paintings, but you only have to look at them to see why they cost so much. It's such an art. I'm always astonished at some of the photos hillwalkers post on the walking site I use. They take your breath away. Glorious.
