    Hi dottyday

what I would do is keep grass edge the width of your lawn mower so you would have nice green easy path and then divide the plot into squares.

you could tackle a square at a time, taking the grass up and planting a square of herbs, cutting flowers , veg.  Would keep the choice of veg to small types or would over take the neighbouring squares.  Some of the squares I would place gravel or paving slab so you can work around your plot and weed etc

    hope this helps image

I can recommend Geoff Hamiltons books , and a visit to Barnsdale  near

Rutland Water. He built a potager in about that size for one of his tv gardens.

You can get his dvds from Barnsdale  gardens or amazon.

  • Thank you both for suggestions.  Does anyone have photos of front lawn successfully revamped as potager?
