Plant ID please

Is anyone able to ID this for me.  Trying to manage my little woodland area a bit, so need to decide if it stays or I need to move it.

    oh ok, I didn't realise that is how they grew.  It is about 10ft from the hedge.

    Think I'd paint it with some glyphosate.  The amount needed for that small sucker won't affect any large tree it's joined on to. image
