Woodpeckers

Looks like "our" great spotted woodpeckers have had a successful breeding season. Watched Junior getting fed with sunflower hearts from the feeder today.

    Fantastic Steephill image

I used to see similar in the gardens where I used to work ........ the woodpeckers there were very fond of those flat rectangles of suet with mealworms that we hung up in wire cages.

Another couple of shots for your entertainment. Lots of noise from the parents again today, sounded like "I fed him last, its your turn now".
