    It's an Aquilegia

I've bought several different coloured Aquilegias over the years and they've set seed all over the garden.  Only problem is, the seedlings all grow into plants with lovely PURPLE blooms !

Next year I might buy a packet of seeds, to stand a better chance.

  • I've got these popping up all over the garden. They're a bit of a nightmare - pretty, but I don't want my garden full of them.

I have these in my garden as well , and whilst they are very pretty they can take over as I have found out . last week I went round and cut off all the seed heads and dug a load out in the hope of reducing next years flowers . They have quite a deep root system to dig up  . Mine also seem to have turned mainly purple over the years . Sometimes I wish I had never introduced the damn things !!
