Home Compost nutrients
I noticed on another thread that home made compost is low in nutrients.
I have filled all my pots and containers with my own compost and added just a scattering of slow release fertiliser at just below root level when planted.
Should I add more now or will it do for a while?

If you are using the osmocote beads, they should last three months. I use blood fish and bone, the blood is pretty instant, the fishmeal breaks down in a couple of months and the bonemeal a bit longer. Generally I use one dose at the start of the season. For certain pot grown stuff, I add a soluble feed after a couple of months , tomatoes particularly run out of steam if not fed regularly.
Thanks fidget can't use bfb because the foxes dig it up will follow your advice for the rest.
Thanks again fidget
