cherry tree pest?

my wild cherry (young tree, bought bare root early in the year) is growing strongly, but the new leaves are all bunched up and sticky -is this aphids dya think?

    Yes, probably blackfly.

    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
