Hi can someone advise what this is please......

I have pulled a clump up once this year and its just been spotted again....

    Well it looks vaguely like a dahlia cutting. Did you leave any in at the end of last year.? They would be emerging around now.

    Hi its only growing under the holly tree no dahlia at that end... I have pulled up what came up this time. The last time it was a clump really tough to get out - I don't think I got the root

    I can't ID from that photo even if it's a plant I know. I need to see it growing. I'll wait til it grows again, it has the look of something that will grow again
