Mystery Plant

Hey,

So I recently expressed an interest in pollinator attracting plants to my mom and she kindly let me dig a random plant out the front of her garden with the nicely vague - 'it has red flowers and bees love it' - can anyone help me figure out what it is ahead of flowering time?

I'm not exactly sure but I wonder if it could be a Knautia Macedonica.  Probably wrong?

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Thankyou both.

I've hopped onto google for this plant and sent a pic off to my dad to show to her to confirm now, so should know by this evening or tomorrow.

Also agree, I have knautia Macedonia melton pastels and was surprised by their height, so be aware yours might grow this tall too :) bees do love them.

I have been amazed that the offshoots from the same stem have different coloured flowers! Really lovely.
