Loading photos

Is the option to load photos a bit hit and miss?, I have successfully loaded one or two but most times it doesn't work.

There have been problems on and off Mary.

    I'll try a test pic-

Seems to be working for me.

Do you get an error message, or just a no pic?

If photos just don't load it usually means that they're too big ... reducing the size usually works.

Thanks pp I was sitting on the door step yesterday evening about 8.30 after a long, hot day in the garden. It's not often I get the time to just sit and look and it just hit me that it is looking all right, so I took a pic to remind me :)
Not sure how much I can get done today with storms forecast for this afternoon - just hoping they're not going to flatten everything

Pete8 I click the camera logo to the right of comment box, it then asks what I want to use, I use my phone camera, lots of time and nothing happened.........two pics I did manage to load showed a little bar at the bottom of the box to show they were being loaded, nothing happens with the rest, no error, nothing.  Your garden is beautiful.

Dove.... no notification of pic. size, no text of any kind.

Doghouse..........I will need to get my daughter to remind me of how to do that lol

    Thanks everyone for the replies

I use a PC Mary - I know where I am with a PC. Mobile phones leave me confused at the best of times.

Sounds like you're doing it right, click on the photo, wait for the progress bar that runs along the bottom of the message pane, then your photo 'should' appear, as mine did.

You could always drop Nora a line - NoraGW (she's part of the GW team) and very helpful.

  • I too have had trouble with a laptop over the last few days. But my daughter used her smartphone and it worked. I tried again this morning with my laptop and miracle, it worked. I have come to the conclusion that it is not file size. Uploading photos just sometimes seems tp be hit and miss for no apparent reason.

I managed to load photos yesterday, did as Doghouse above does, took photos on phone, saved them, then sent them to laptop.  I will still ask my daughter when she visits, wish I were more techy minded. Thanks everyone for the input.
