any idea what it may be
in Plants
I have an evergreen plant which is now 1 meter high which is fast growing. its leaves are triangular shaped with single line through the middle. It has a soft stem and the end of the side and top branches there appears to be a small soft seed pod. When breaking off leaves there is a white milky fluid. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like Euphorbia lathyris.

Be careful with the milky fluid - can cause a nasty reaction to the skin I think!
If it is euphorbia be very careful when handling it.
Not only can the sap cause a nasty reaction on the skin but one of our forum members splashed some sap into her eye a few days ago. She now has an ulcerated eye and (hopefully temporary) disturbance or loss of vision.
