This is growing in a friend's garden. can anyone identify for me please, is it a weed?
It's a big Mallow/Hollyhock - coming nicely into flower. Not a weed.
Thank you Onopordum, I've googled to check and it looks like it Is, I'll let him know before he pulls it up
Could add that the wild mallows are somewhat weedy but also flower very nicely and very good for bees, so worth keeping where possible. I don't think any of them are particularly bad weeds.
