Cuttings

Hi does anyone know how to take cuttings from astrantia and geum?

    Astrantias will self seed and grow lots of extra plants. I always grow from seed,s never took cuttings so not sure about that.

    Geums, you can usually just scrape away the soil and tease a piece of root off.

    By far the easiest way to produce new plants from both of those mentioned is by division.

    Seed will work well for Astrantia, but plants do not come true from seed.

    With the astrantias, division is the way if you want the same plant as the parent. If not - as Lyn says - they'll seed around if they're happy 

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
