Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone knew what this is on our Magnolia Tree?

They are scale insects and the white fluff showing means they have eggs hatching so scrape them off quick!  While adult scale insects don't move, the young nymphs are mobile and will climb all over the tree, settle down and you will end up with them all over it.  They suck the sap directly from the branches.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
