Is this native flag Iris
I've had this a few years, a rescue from my brothers garden and wondered if it is Iris pseudoacorus. TBH, I think the flowers may be a little too pale. It currently grows in shade since I removed it from the sunny front garden because it was too pale for my colour scheme.
If not I. pseudoacorus, is there any way to help identifying which type of Iris it is? It is flowering now and quite scented if that helps
Thanks in advance.

No, I don't think that's our native pseudoacorus ... wrong shade of yellow and petals the wrong shape

Yours looks like a bearded iris to me, but there are thousands of varieties.

yes, bearded iris - you can see the little beards in the bottom photo
and flag iris leaves are narrower, I think
Thanks all - I kinda thought it wasn't but thought I'd ask first before delving into the world of bearded iris for a possible ID. Notably thought it doesn't get 'baked' in the sun to help it flower.
