Weed identification
Hi I recently moved into a new house. I have got a problem with a plant which has started to grow against my fence. It has also pushed through the tarmac on the public pavement about a foot away. It seems to grow about six ft high and has tubular stems.
Can anybody please identify it and it and advise on how to get rid of it.
Many Thanks
Gary

Plume Poppy, Macleaya cordata. It is grown as an ornamental plant; I am surprised that is pushing through tarmac. Weedkiller should get rid of it.
Orange stuff come out when you cut the stem?
Looks like Macleaya cordata.
In the sticks near Peterborough
Yes orange liquid when cut. Thankyou for the quick responses I am glad it's not something invasive.
