Underground gas tank

we have an underground gas tank with a big green man hole cover in the middle of our lawn. We are landscaping our garden and are wanting to add a little footpath and gravel to connect the areas we have made- but in the middle of where we want to do it is an awful green plastic cover...

can anyone share what they have done to hide their gas tank? or how they have incorporated them into the design of their garden??
