Plants or weeds and what are these bulbs?

imageimage

Hello All,

Is picture one a weed and also the leaves in the middle of the bulbs in picture two?

What are those bulbs?

Got a lot of stones and concrete in a tiny border area of around 14" x 8". It's in a triangular shape almost. What could I plant there?

Thanks everyone!

First pic is a hardy geranium of some sort

The leaves amongst the 'bulb leaves' looks like a willowherb (weed)

The bulbs could be a gladioli (strictly speaking a corm, but like a bulb).

What to plant in the triangular area ?  Why not take a piece or two of the hardy geranium (above) and plant it there ... it'll spread to fill the whole space and look like a green cushion with pink flowers.

    I agree with Dove's diagnosis.

How can you lie there and think of England

  • Thanks Dovefromabove. You never fail to impress me image. That's a great idea for the triangular area. Just as well I checked as was about to weed it all out....!

Thank you for the other info, will get rid of that willowherb now.

    Thanks also, punkdoc.
