Hosta identification

Can anyone help? My daughter has started a little collection, but realised that she should've made a note of what she bought. We'd love to know what they are! Thank you.

Dunno - but you'll probably have to shift some of them as they'll get pretty substantial  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi the bluey one with white trim to right of shrub at the back looks like El-Nino - the one next to it to the right again looks like Gypsy Rose - the one to the left of the picture with yellow trim looks like Wide Brim

Im sure Hostafan will be along tomorrow to help out!

Big green one to the left could be Sum & Substance ... If so it'll get huge and fill the whole bed on it's own. image

But there are thousands of varieties - hard to do a firm ID from a picture.

I'd have a go, but not from one photo of a whole bed.

    Try one photo per plant.

As Dove says, there are over 3,500 different varieties on the market, with hundreds more introduced every year.

Thank you for the suggestions. She's found a few labels, so only needs to know three after all, I'll attach an updated photo. Also... Wow, that's a huge number of varieties, I had no idea!  (Btw, I realise that she has planted too many, too close, but she likes them and she'll find out what works for her.)

Well! Whaddayaknow!  I identified a Hosta!  imageOk, I know it was a fairly easy one ... And it is one that I grow ...

It will be huge in a couple of years if it's happy!

Fab! Woohoo, well done and thank you! It may be an easy one, but not for me. (I couldn't believe it when she asked if I could see the labels on the first photo, err, no! I didn't mean to post a quiz!)

If you get stuck with ID'ing the others (sorry I can't help) - Mickfield Hostas have a list of zillions with pictures of the leaves and some info about growth habit etc etc.

Check out Medio variegata for the one in the middle and Golden Tiara for the one to the right. Not enough to go on for the one at the very back.
