Too late for early potatoes?

Hi, this year has been disaster for my early potatoes. None grown on three containers have grown at all. It's been about 5 weeks and I don't have a lot of help (I was hoping last week's warm weather may seem one or two to start showing up but not).. So question is, is it too late for second early seed potatoes and what do I do with my pots where u had planted them. Do I dig potatoes out?

It's been a bit cooler of late, so I wouldn't give up hope. I'd not dig the old ones up, they're doing no harm after all.
No worries about planting more, they'll just be later, but you'll still get a crop.
