Not well Eucalyptus tree

imageimage

I have been given a sick looking Eucalyptus tree. It's leaves are covered in red and dark brown spots. The tree was very stressed when I received it (miss shapen and in a very small pot).  It was planted in my garden late last summer and does seem to be growing well, but both old and new leaves are covered in this mysterious Discolouration. Is it something I can cure?

If it's in your garden now it'll soon be growing like mad, just make sure it has water. The new foliage looks fine. The spotty foliage will probably drop off over summer.
I've had costly experience with a blue gum I bought for £1.99 some 25+yrs ago. When it got to 100ft it cost £400 to have it taken down to 50ft and when it all got back to nrealy 100ft again a few years later I had it taken out, cost £1,100 and the 5ft diameter stump is still there

You can cut it down like you would a buddleja. It will regrow each year and you have a bush of fresh new  leaves. ( the flower arrangers love them)
