Can you identify this?

Can you help me identify this plant? It's all in my flowerbeds. recently moved here so I'm not sure what previous owner a planted vs a what's a weed. Thx!

    It looks very much like a white Tradescantia but I'd like a second opinion. It comes in blue too.

    I wonder if that is a damaged flower as it should have three petals if it is Tradescantia (I think that is what it is as Ladybird surmises).

     Thanks for the reply ladies! But I don't think it is tradescantia after looking at pictures. It only has 2 petals. It also is a very pale purple and blooms first thing in the am (or at night, possibly) but by noon is starts to wilt. They come out of these pods at top of plant.

  • Turns out these are a dayflower. Considered a weed by most but I really like them!

    I don't think we have it here in the UK (yet!). I see that you are in the US where it is regarded as an invasive weed. It seems to be resistant to most weedkillers so wouldn't be very welcome I would guess.
