Busy Lizzie lightly frosted!
Hi
Can anyone help. I bought some busy Lizzies and put them outside but in a mini green house .. we had a small frost about a week ago and although they were covered up it looks like some of them have been affected and the leaves have gone all droopy and have swollen stems. I have picked off the dead leaves on some of them and also pinched out some of the swollen stems. Is there anything I can do to help them recover or will they just die anyway?
Thanks for any help!

If they are that badly damaged they are likely to succumb to moulds, rots and mildews. Bring them in to the warm if you want to try and rescue them.
You can only try. If they'd been properly frosted all you'd have is a slimy mess left, so it may be worth looking after them if they're not too bad - a photo would help.
Move them somewhere warmer that's bright but no direct sunlight and see how they are in a few days. If they are still going, they'll soon pick up again.
If they're not the New-Guinea busy lizzies you may sill loose them to wilt which has devastated these plants in recent years. They were perfect for a north facing shady position, I now use bedding begonias instead which still give a decent display

Thank you so much Pete8 and fidget bones I will bring them in and see if it helps ... They were the normal busy lizzies with the double heads
