Non-flowering Kalmia

PrivetPrivet Posts: 93

Can anyone help please? I've had a couple of Kalmia in a pot and although they were in flower when I first bought them a couple of years ago, they have never flowered since. I planted them in ericaceous compost and they look very healthy, with plenty of new growth, so what am I doing wrong?

Many thanks

    Are they getting full sun?

Yes, they get quite a bit of sun especially over the middle of the day

    thanks

'Full sun'  means 8-10 hours direct sunshine per day ...  is 'quite a bit' enough?

Ah! Maybe not. I think I need to move it around the garden to follow the sun! My garden is only small. Thank you

    Dovefromabove,

thank you so much for the advice. I am delighted to find these little flower buds! The first I've ever had. Don't think I'll be getting any more, but I'm more than happy!
