Anyone know this plant/weed?
in Plants
Hi, I'm new to gardening and recently bought my first house and attempting to transform my garden which I'm absolutely loving. I have a question for all the more experienced gardeners out there, I have a plant that keeps popping up everywhere, it's impossible to pull up as it has these bulb/kernel like bits on its roots. It spreads proflifically and only goes away if you pull out these brown "bulbs". Any ideas what this is and how I can get rid or it? Some areas are in places I cannot dig up the root system so I'm reall stuck. Please see my picture of the plant.
Thank you all

It's Arum italicum I think, though it could be Arum maculatum, or both. It's very difficult to get rid of but if you pull off all the leaves of those you can't dig up, it will give in eventually. It will take a while.
In the sticks near Peterborough
Arum maculatum or possibly Arum italicum.if it has variegated leaves. Not the easiest of things to get rid off either. When digging out the bulbs you need to make sure you get all the tiny ones as well.
If you use weed killer then the Roundup Gel painted on to the leaves can work. BUT, it is a slow job.
Don't let them berry either of you will have seedlings coming up as well.
Snap!
Thank you both very much for replying. At least if I just keep pulling it up, eventually it will give up.
