Palm Recognition

Hi, I collected these palms from a lady who didn't have the time to look after them. Could anyone tell me what variety there are and what I can do to bring them back to life? The lady said she hadn't tended to them for quite a while. Any advice would be gratefully received and appreciated.

    The first looks like a sago palm and the second a Yucca.

    Shouldn't Yucca's be kept inside? I think it's been outside for quite a while. I'll look up the sago palm and find out some more. Jan image

    Hi Jan

    Yuccas can be quite hardy and will grow outside providing it is not in a real frost area.

    OK, that's good news because I don't have the room inside my little flat; but it will make a great addition to communal garden area I've been working on image this area generally doesn't suffer from frost which is good news. Thanks for helping Daisy - have a lovely Bank Holiday, Jan
